It may be officially fall, but it's not quite time for that marshmellow-like parka just yet.
While we are experiencing the most beautiful time of year (in my humble opinion), I thought it would be a good time to discuss creative cover-up's that break you out of your pashmina/cardigan routine.
"What kind of cover-ups"? You may be wondering? How about a vintage, Mexican flea market poncho? Don't judge, just view how gracefully I have pulled this off with a simple rope belt from Target and skinny jeans!
See!
What's that? You kind of like it?
Please note the knitted collar and wooden buttons!
Okay, Mexican poncho not quite your vibe? Well, I've never met a gal who met a cape and didn't think, "Good day kind sir, I'd like to try you out." It's the truth.
Below I've paired a consignment, H&M cape I came across, that sings some Burberry notes, and paired it with a vintage brooch and my fave bell bottoms. This is not your British grandmother's cape-look, but I think she'd approve. (Not-so-secretly, I've always wanted to be British)

So the StyleEye takeaway here is, get creative while you have the luxury of not needing to protect yourself from wind and sleet. Try some new outerwear ideas that will keep your look current and creative, I promise those pashminas will still be waiting for you in the spring.
